Since October 2008, Hildegard Müller (29 June 1967) has been Chairwoman of the General Executive Management Board of the German Association of Energy and Water Industries (Bundesverband der Energie- und Wasserwirtschaft - BDEW), Berlin.
Müller started her professional career at Dresdner Bank AG. After her training as a Bank Business Management Assistant, she studied business economics at Düsseldorf University. In her last position at Dresdner Bank AG she worked as a Division Manager.
From 2002, Hildegard Müller represented her hometown Düsseldorf in the German Parliament as Member of the Bundestag. In 2005, she was appointed Minister of State with the German Chancellor Angela Merkel, where she was responsible for Federal/State coordination of the German federal government and for issues relating to the reduction of administrative burdens.
Hildegard Müller has a daughter and is active in several honorary positions. Inter alia, she is Member of the German National Committee of UNICEF, of the Central Committee of German Catholics and of the National Board of donum vitae. Furthermore, she is Chairperson of the Society of German Friends of Yad Vashem, the Center of Holocaust remembrance in Israel.

Roger Kohlmann has been Member of the General Executive Management Board of the German Association of Energy and Water Industries (BDEW), Berlin, since spring 2009. Kohlmann holding a diploma degree in economics is also Head of the "Energy Networks and Regulation" Division.
Kohlmann graduated from the Hamburg University of the German Federal Armed Forces where he also specialised in European policy issues. After his employment as an officer in the German Army, he switched to politics: From 1991 he was scientific assistant in the Committee on "Economy, Small and Medium-Sized Businesses and Technology" of the Land Parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia located in Düsseldorf.
Since 1996, Kohlmann has been working in the energy industry: After working with RWE Rheinbraun AG, Cologne, he switched to the East German lignite company Laubag (Senftenberg) in 1999, where he was responsible for the "Communication" and "Basic Energy Policy Issues" department. After that, he became Head of the corporate communication department of RWE Power AG, Essen. In 2004, he switched to the German Electricity Association (VDEW), Berlin, where he was Deputy General Executive Manager. From autumn 2007, he was Deputy General Executive Manager of BDEW. Kohlmann is married and has two children.

Anke Tuschek took up her position as Member of the General Executive Management Board of the German Association of Energy and Water Industries (BDEW), Berlin, on 7 May 2009. The former Technical Director of Stadtwerke Leipzig took over the "Markets" and "Energy efficiency" scope of functions and the position as Head of the "Sales, Trade and Gas-Related Issues" Division.
After graduating from Dresden University with a degree in mechanical engineering, Anke Tuschek gained her doctorate in engineering in 1988 before starting her professional career with Dresdner Wärmeversorgungs-GmbH (heat supply company). In 1992, she switched to Dresden Gas GmbH where she held a Group Manager position before she became authorized representative and Head of the "Gas Purchasing and Sales" Department. In 1997, she assumed the position as Head of the District Heat/Gas main department of DREWAG Stadtwerke Dresden. Three years later, she was appointed Managing Director of the regional gas supplier SpreeGas where she worked until 2006. From there she switched to Stadtwerke Leipzig in October 2006 as Technical Director. She was first responsible for the electricity, gas and district heat distribution and for the networks division and PR/corporate communication. In mid-2007, she also assumed the "Retail", the "Pomerania business" and the "Strategic Marketing" fields of activity.
Anke Tuschek is married.

Martin Weyand

Martin Weyand has been General Executive Manager Water/Wastewater and Member of the General Executive Management Board of the German Association of Energy and Water Industries (BDEW), Berlin, since early 2009. The graduate economist is Head of the Water/Wastewater Division.
After graduating from Saarbrücken University, he worked as scientific assistant at the University’s energy economics institute from 1987. In 1989, he switched to the Association of the German Gas and Water Industries (Bundesverband der deutschen Gas- und Wasserwirtschaft - BGW), Berlin. In his first position, Weyand was Senior Professional on energy policy issues before he became Head of the Energy Industry Division in 1994, where he was responsible, among other things, for fundamental energy policy questions. From 2001 to 2007, Weyand was Managing Director of BGW. From autumn 2007 to early 2009, he was Deputy General Executive Manager of BDEW. Weyand is married and has two children.

After 9 years with BEB Erdgas und Erdöl GmbH in Hanover, in his last position as Head of the Legal Affairs Division with power of attorney, Andrees Gentzsch switched in 2004 to the German Electricity Association (VDEW), Berlin, where he was Head of the Legal Affairs and Human Resources/Finance/IT Divisions.
From 2007 to 2009, Andrees Gentzsch was Head of the Legal Affairs and Human Resources/Finance Divisions of the newly merged BDEW. Since April 2009, he has also been Member of the Association’s Management Board and is responsible for the Legal Affairs, Business Management and Service and Organization Divisions. Gentzsch is married and has two children.

Dr. Michael Wunnerlich has been Member of the Management Board of the German Association of Energy and Water Industries (BDEW), Berlin, since spring 2009, and Managing Director of the Association’s Representation to the European Union in Brussels.
Born in Hof/Saale he studied at the Universities of Freiburg and Athens. Michael Wunnerlich holding a doctoral degree in archaeology started his professional career in 1987 with the European Commission in Brussels. From 1989 to 1990, Wunnerlich was in charge of European Community issues in the Ministry of Science of Saarland (German Federal State) in Saarbrücken. From 1991 to 1995, he was Deputy Head of the Saarland EC liaison office in Brussels.
In1995, Wunnerlich switched to the Federation of the German Industry (Bundesverband der Deutschen Industrie - BDI). As Deputy Head of the BDI Representation to the European Union, he was especially responsible for fundamental industrial policy issues and for the process of the EU enlargement. From 1999, Wunnerlich was Head of the VDEW Representation to the European Union (EU) in Brussels and from 2005 to 2007 Deputy General Executive Manager of VDEW. From autumn 2007 to spring 2009, he was Deputy General Executive Manager of BDEW. Michael Wunnerlich is married and has three children.
